Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 22nd April 2025
1. Introduction
LifeLoop ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our app.
2. Information We Collect
LifeLoop collects limited personal data solely for the purpose of delivering core features of the application.
- Google Sign-In: We use
userinfo.profile
anduserinfo.email
scopes to authenticate users via Google. This is the only method of login; no passwords are stored or supported. - Google Calendar (Optional): If enabled by the user, we use
calendar.readonly
andcalendar.events.readonly
scopes to fetch and display personal calendar events. This is a read-only integration. - Food Images: Users may upload photos of their meals to track nutritional data. These photos are stored in a publicly accessible AWS S3 bucket and are processed via the OpenAI API to analyze the meal (e.g. estimate calories).
- Other Data: Habit tracking, personal events, and analysis data are stored securely in AWS through Heroku-managed infrastructure.
3. How We Use Your Information
The data we collect is used only to provide and improve LifeLoop’s functionality. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Google and OpenAI are only involved where explicitly required for core functionality, and only with your permission.
4. Data Retention
User data is retained only as long as necessary to provide services and improve the app. You can manually delete individual data points yourself. You can request deletion of your full account at any time by contacting us.
5. Security
We use industry-standard practices to secure user data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), secure API authentication, and access control.
6. Your Choices
You may revoke Google access at any time via your account settings at Google Account Permissions. You may also request data deletion by emailing us directly.
